The Science and Technology Policy Program conducts interdisciplinary research and analysis on a wide range of national and international scientific and technological topics to help organizations and governments make better decisions about science and technology. Examples include assessing the impact and effectiveness of science and technology programs, developing new tools to measure science and innovation, or aiding the planning and evaluation of research programs and institutions. We use a multi-dimensional research approach, which may include surveys, case studies, analyses of publications and patents, expert interviews, literature reviews, data analyses, strategic planning, and other quantitative and qualitative methods.
