Helping organizations, regions, and nations prosper in the innovation economy

The Center for Science, Technology and Economic Development (CSTED) helps organizations, regions, and nations become more successful in today's economy through more effective science and technology, economic, environmental, and educational programs and policies. Based in Washington D.C., the Center is staffed with experienced professionals who conduct research, analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning for private and public sector clients around the world. We typically use a multidisciplinary approach, involving quantitative and qualitative methods drawn from various science and social science disciplines, to meet each client’s specific needs. The Center's diverse capabilities are distributed across its two programs: the Economics Program and the Science and Technology Policy Program.
